My Thanksgiving Notes

On this Thanksgiving, I’m thankful for many things, those of which are: my mom’s beauty, which she has so selflessly passed down to me.  She has given me her smile, her charm, and some of her grace (my walking with high heels on isn’t quite as graceful as hers).  Though I resent her for it sometimes, I appreciate her strictness at certain times.  It shows me that she cares about my well-being. I’d also like to thank my father for his artistic ability and social skills.  He’s given me the ability to make friends easily, hold up conversations, and be innovative and creative.  I want to thank my grandmother, who is no longer here anymore, because she had given me her wisdom and personality, which I hadn’t really discovered until a little while ago.  I find that we are alike in many ways, and I’m just sorry that it’s taken me until now to figure it out.  I have memories of her childhood when she would run around playing with little boys rather than girls, and loving the outdoors and animals, much like me. This day has given me the chance to look upon those I love and care for dearly, and thank them for the priceless gifts and lessons they have given and taught me.
