First Car Wash Result

At about 8am the sun ray pierced through the blinds of many of the greater Puget Sound Washington state residents.  Birds have been chirping for the past four hours and now my alarm buzzes.  I was barely awake and tried to open my eyes to spot the snooze button from my cell phone so that I could sleep in a bit more.  Unfortunately the phone was too far away and the sun ray managed to bounce in my eyes. At 8:30am I manage to finished my shower and  listen to my voice message.

Phi-Van: Hello Instructor Thuan. Where are you at?  Give me a call when you hear this message.

I begin heading toward Seattle and call Phi-Van up....

Instr. Thuan: Hello Anh Phi-Van, I am on my way toward Seattle and should be there about 9:15am.  Could you help me setup before I get there?

PV:  Sure I can...

IT: Thanks... I'll see you later.... bye.

As I drive toward the car wash destination, the sky begins to change and the sun starts to play "hide and seek" with me.

I reached the appointed destination at about 9:05am and saw Quoc-Bao, Hoang, and Thuy-Giao came out of the Viet Wah market.  Then I saw Vi and his dad, Phi-Van.  We gathered on the south sides of the New Viet Wah SuperFood to get started our first car wash.  It is a little bit on the chill sides. Noticing that Saturday is a sleep in days for most of the members but with positive and productive mind they are willing to wake up early and help out with the carwash.  At about 1:30pm Instructor Minh and Tri did come over on trying to help out, and surely they brought the rain with them.  The sky begins dripping down and the ends out last carwash at about 1:45pm.  With such calm weather we raised $141.00 and that could not even go anywhere in our deep pocket.

Great appreciations to everyone who came out and help: Instructor Anthony & Hoang; MS: Q. Bao, Thuy-Giao, Trong, Ngoc, Khoi, Vi, Long, and Anh Phi-Van.

Special Thanks to Anh Phil (Phi-Van) Dang and his family.  Not only terminating his appointment but he also brought his whole family come out to support us.  They even help us with the car wash, donating food, drinks, and rags, and even recruiting car from his friends for us to wash.

We were expecting to see more support from the Masters and Instructors.  Thanks Master Sang for letting us wash your car.  In case if you missed out the first car wash, you can catch us in action again next Saturday, 28th of June from 10am-5pm at the NE corner of Martin Luther King Jr. and Othello before you head West uphill to NewHolly Vovinam Hung Vuong Center.
